Telvent (Nasdaq:TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today that the company has been selected by the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) of Sao Paulo to modernize the power supply control systems for the Brazilian urban train lines. The project, valued at 24.5 million euros, is intended to contribute to the government's objective of doubling the present total of 1.6 million daily users to up to 3 million by 2014.
