WESTVILLE BOYS' High School will be the first school in KwaZulu-Natal to offer a Chinese language teaching course, as of next year.
The Chinese consulate-gener-al, Lui Yantao, and the MEC of Education, Senzo Mchunu, signed a Memorandum Of Understanding to formalise the bilateral exchange yesterday.
The course will address the province's growing need to learn Chinese and increase business co-operation between South Africa and China.
