Catheter Connections, Inc. (www.catheterconnections.com) and Kickstart Seed Fund/vSpring Capital jointly announced that the Company has raised $1.3 million in seed capital (see also Catheter Connections, Inc.).
The funding enables the Company to further develop and commercialize its lead product, a proprietary device designed to prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAI) resulting from catheters.
Hospital-acquired infections are the fourth largest killer in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that as many as two million people suffer from HAIs annually in the U.S., resulting in more than 100,000 deaths. This equates to ...
