That's because men respond to stressful situations by taking more dangerous risks, while women become more cautious.
The difference between the sexes emerged in psychology experiments at the University of Southern California.
The findings suggest that men are more likely than woman to respond to stress by driving dangerously, smoking, gambling, taking drugs or having affairs.
