Kenneth J. Wood, 55, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at home. Ken was born in Auburn, the son of the late Carl and Joanne Myers Wood. He was a graduate of Holy Family Parochial School, attended Mt. Carmel High School until its closing and graduated with the first graduating class from Auburn High School. He was a retired NY state correctional officer with 22 years of service and was a member of the C.E.R T. Team at Auburn Correctional.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a former Auburn Youth Hockey coach and a lifelong hockey fan, always watching the Buffalo Sabres hockey team.
