MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Sberbank (RTS: SBER) lowers rates on loans by an average of one percentage point as of July 1, the company's president German Gref told journalists.

"As of July 1, we lowered rates on average of one percentage point," he said.

It was earlier reported that, as of July 1, Sberbank lowered rates on deposits also by one percentage point on average.

Gref added that Sberbank was attempting to make deposit operations attractive for its clients. "We now have one of the most lucrative lines," he said.
