NBU AGAIN DEMANDS THAT BANK HEADS PERSONALLY OVERSEE ISSUE OF SETTING EXCHANGE RATES

Kyiv, July 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Bank governors are obliged to personally oversee the setting of exchange rates on the interbank market, according to a letter of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) of July 1, 2009.

"Exchange rates set by banks should be based on the real situation on the interbank currency market of Ukraine and real exchange rates in signed agreements, taking into account reference points daily given by the NBU...
