A 20-month contract has been signed between Ohio University located in Athens, Ohio and CIBER, an IT technology player for a new Student Information System (SIS). CIBER's ERP Higher Education Practice and Global Enterprise Integration Practice (GEIP) are working with Ohio University to create a new SIS.

The University currently runs on an aging mainframe that loses support in 2010. Through their collaboration with CIBER, the University is replacing its existing SIS with the full intention of improving the delivery of services to its students, faculty and staff through workflow, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web-enabled services. ...
