A new Web site that targets average New York citizens explains how they can start the process of dissolving and consolidating local governments, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday in Clay.
Cuomo introduced the Web site, www.reformnygov.com, at a news conference at Clay Town Hall, where he also praised local officials for merging the Clay Police Department into the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office last year.
Cuomo said a law passed by the state Legislature in June will make the consolidation process easier for elected officials and citizens. The Web site explains the law through videos, maps and ...
