Feb. 18--An Inland area dairy company that set up a bottling plant in Yuma, Ariz., with the idea of selling milk in Mexico has been shut out of the Baja California market as a result of political pressure from Baja's dairy industry, the firm alleges.
Sarah Farms, which is based in Chino and also operates dairies in Corona and San Jacinto, alleges in letters to U.S. congressional representatives that state officials in Baja California have removed Sarah Farms milk from Calimax stores and demanded that Sarah Farms obtain a state-issued "quality stamp."
