Article: General Acceptance Takes its Common Stock Off the NASDAQ National Market.

Feb. 18--General Acceptance Corp. took its common stock off the NASDAQ National Market Tuesday and is suspending its public company status.

Conseco Inc. has again offered needed financial aid to the Bloomington-based auto finance company. Under Conseco's proposal, the Carmel-based insurance and financial services company could wind up owning 75 percent of General Acceptance.

Tuesday was the last day that General Acceptance traded on the NASDAQ. The company's stock closed at a 52-week low of 25 cents per share, down 62.5 cents.
