In a move to bring unprecedented low power consumption to high-performance wireless ICs, Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation today introduced the newest addition to its RF product portfolio--the PE3292 PLL (phase-locked loop). Peregrine's proprietary FlexiPower technology enables the PLL's prescaler to be powered with voltages as low as 1 volt (versus the standard 3 volts), dramatically decreasing overall power consumption.
