Human breast milk is a better source of nutrition than infant formula, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), which now recommends breast milk as the preferred source of feeding for almost all babies for at least the first year of life. It has been found to provide health, nutritional, immunologic, developmental, psychological, social, economic, and environmental advantages unmatched by other feeding options.
