Bremerton police have arrested a 49-year-old man who they say offered to pay an acquaintance to set up a sexual encounter with a young girl.
The unidentified Bremerton man has been booked on investigation of solicitation and conspiracy to commit first-degree rape of a child, police said.
The man's arrest Wednesday came after an investigation launched June 24, when the man's acquaintance told police about the suspect's plan.
The man allegedly "told the witness he wanted to find a 10- to 14-year-old girl to have sex with," Bremerton police Sgt. Kevin Crane said in a news release. "The man ...
