Want to visit and feel the heartbeat of a major New York state city? Then drive, take the train or fly into White Plains, N.Y. A new Wal-Mart recently opened on Main Street, and side-by-side is the soon-to-be-opened luxury Ritz Carlton Hotel. Quite a combination.
"The juxtaposition of these two buildings sends a message about White Plains," said Ian Yankwitt, head of Tortoise Investment Management.
