Well, this is the life, I must say. Perched on a mosaic deck of viridian and jade tiles, I dangle my legs into an emerald swimming pool. For the first time in weeks I can feel myself relaxing.
I love the curvy architecture here, the arches and the domes. Even the deep end of the pool is shaped like a minaret. I gaze beyond the sheet of green water onto the pink outer wall of the villa and wonder if the color is salmon or coral. It's hard to tell in the twilight as shadows from the bronze lamp move across the walls like belly dancers. I watch mesmerized as the breeze blows these lattice shapes through the house.
