Article: High-tech clothing for the active ageing population.(Garments)

New clothing that incorporates electronic functions to improve the quality of life for the active ageing population will be created in a new research project launched at the University of Wales, Newport, UK. The project is particularly aimed at the 60-75 year age group who are active participants in outdoor and sports.

The New Dynamics of Ageing research programme will be carried out at the University's Smart Clothes and Wearable Technology Research Centre, which has attracted research funding for the three-year project from the UK's Joint Research Council.
