Though it has opted to stay mostly under the radar since its 2005 founding, Viamet Pharmaceuticals Inc. still captured the attention of two corporate investors, which led the firm's $18 million Series B financing.
Novartis Option Fund and Lilly Ventures joined Viamet's existing investors Intersouth Partners, Hatteras Venture Partners, Lurie Investment Fund and Astellas Venture Management on the latest round, bringing the Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based firm's total fundraising to date to about $25 million.
