NEW YORK -- Technology continues to revolutionize the diagnostics sector of the diabetes care category.
For example, earlier this month, Bayer Diabetes Care launched A1CNow SelfCheck, an A1C monitor that enables people with diabetes to check AIC levels at home. Measurement of AIC provides an average assessment of blood sugar levels over the past three months and is an indicator of how well diabetes is being managed.
According to Bayer, the monitor enables patients to watch their A1C levels more closely between health care provider visits, so that they can modify their diet and exercise or have a more informed discussion with their health care provider ...
