Abu Dhabi, 7th July 2009 (WAM): The Consumer protection department at the Ministry of Economy today met major retail outlets and local departments in Abu Dhabi to implement an integrated plan to ensure reduction of prices and market stability during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry, who headed the meeting, urged retail outlets to reduce prices of commodities during the Holy Month and to provide new price offers as well. He said that during Ramdan there will be a special committee to monitor markets through organizing field visits to major retail outlets in the UAE.
