This long-wearing flooring shows signs of staging a comeback.
"Linoleum? Isn't that the same as vinyl floor covering?" asked a young salesman at a flooring distributor in Dalton, Ga. No, it is not.
As your grandmother probably knows, linoleum is a floor covering made of natural materials - linseed oil, cork, jute, resins, and natural pigments, which give it color. No doubt she also remembers how well this once-ubiquitous product wears.
