Article: Cebu City's health department seeks more funds.

CEBU CITY, July 8 (PNA) -- Cebu City health officials are seeking up to P8.5 million in additional funding for the City Health Department (CHD) to cover the cost of medicines and equipment as barangay health centers will attend to more patients after the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) has limited its services.

City Councilor Christopher Alix said Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmena has approved the initial funding of P3.5 million, and an additional P5 million will be requested to upgrade the facilities in the health centers and buy more medicines.
