Dubai: More than 80 individuals were traced by Dubai Police in the first five months of this year after they were reported missing by their families within the country or abroad.
Some of the reasons given for them going missing include emotional problems, family disputes and financial problems.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Jamal Al Jallaf, Director of the Criminal Monitoring Department of Dubai Police, these reports are initially dealt with as "absent individuals" and if the reported person is not found for months then the case is classified as missing.
