GORDON BROWN yesterday warned of a "dangerous battle" ahead in Afghanistan.
He said: "Our purpose is clear: To prevent terrorism coming to the streets of Britain."
The Prime Minister spoke out after a bloody day of fighting on Friday which saw eight British soldiers die in 24 hours.
Among the casualties were Rifleman Daniel Hume, 22, of 4th Battalion The Rifles, who was killed in a blast, and Private John Brackpool, 27, of Prince of Wales' Company, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, who was shot dead in a separate ...
