Buxton resident Darren Burrus has had less work for his company over the last year, but now things are looking up.
Thanks to a Recovery Act grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), his small business, Cape Dredging Inc., will be building oyster reefs off Hatteras Village.
"We're excited to get back to work, the marine construction business has been slow," said Burrus, a co-owner of the company. "And having more oysters and fish around will be good for the watermen and oystermen. I love North Carolina oysters."
