A ''special occasion dance survival skills'' class, with instructors Patti Conley and Marc Imlay, took place on Sunday at the Swedish Cultural Center in Seattle. The class helps people who are preparing for summer weddings or parties or are just new to dance by giving them survival skills for dancing. The class covered the basic waltz, swing and blues dancing. Dance-class partners, from left, are: Marianne Jacka and Gary Cobb; Gary's wife, Nancy Cobb, and Matt Lipps; and the Cobbs' daughter Shelley Cobb and David Johnson. The class rotates partners every few minutes.
