NEW DELHI, July 14 Asia Pulse - The Supreme Court of India on Monday asked the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to file its report in a week on the Chennai-based Chemplast Sanmar Ltd's (BSE:506355) application seeking permission to operate its Rs 6 billion (US$122.7 million) poly vinyl chloride project.
Various petitions have been filed seeking closure of the poly vinyl chloride (PVC) project for allegedly violating environmental norms.
The Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan asked the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, which had earlier given clearance to lay the pipeline for carrying vinyl chloride monomer, to file its report within one ...
