Mar. 5--Real estate investor and pundit Leon Charney is on the verge of winning the tug of war over fashion giant Liz Claiborne, which has been eying a headquarters move.
After considering numerous offers in Manhattan and New Jersey, the $2.2 billion company -- the Big Apple's largest fashion company -- is about to sign a lease to remain with some 1,000 workers in Charney's 34-story tower at 1441 Broadway, sources said.
The deal, valued at more than $120 million, will likely be greased with millions of dollars worth of tax breaks and other incentives thrown in by ...
