Mar. 5--Delphi Delco Electronics will cease production of circuit boards in Kokomo this summer. The move could affect 300 people, but the General Motors Corp. division said it wants to find new work for those employees.
Delphi Delco has studied the move for more than a year. In 1997, the division, formerly known as Delco Electronics, became part of Delphi Automotive Group, GM's components unit. Management has scrutinized all Delphi Delco operations since, looking to cut costs.
