Article: Electric jelly.(MadLab)(experiment and quiz about electricity)

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

This gotta-see-it-to-believe-it experiment works by charging a balloon with static electricity particles, which in turn charge the gelatin particles, causing them to leap through space. Static electricity is the same principle that causes your hair to stick up straight when you take off your wool hat.

Now that's what we call an electrifying dessert!

What you'll need:

1. A balloon

2. Unflavored gelatin powder

3. A paper plate
