German chemical group Lanxess is expanding its presence in the BRIC territories with two acquisitions.

In India, the company has bought the chemical businesses of Gwalior Chemical Industries for 82.4m [euro] through its Lanxess India Private subsidiary. The deal should close by the end of the third quarter of 2009.
