IN a further step towards Nelson Mandela Bay becoming a major energy supplier, a plan to build a multi-billion-rand power station has been submitted formally for government approval, the Coega Development Corporation (CDC) announced yesterday.
The industrial development zone (IDZ) power station to cost between $2,4-billion (R19,2-billion) and $4-billion (R32-billion) will be the biggest single investment in the IDZ and is expected to be operational by 2014.
