The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine's (ISMRM) highest individual honor, the prestigious Gold Medal Award, was presented to Peter B. Roemer, Ph.D., ONI Medical Systems, Inc.'s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, by the organization's President, Vivian S. Lee, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., at the 17th Scientific Meeting and Exhibition in Honolulu, Hawaii. The award is given to individuals for pioneering scientific contributions to Magnetic Resonance in medicine and biology (see also ONI Medical Systems).
Dr. Jeffrey Duerk, Chairman of the 2008-09 ISMRM Awards Committee and immediate Past President of the Society noted, "Dr. Roemer's Gold Medal ...
