THE SA Agulhas, powering onwards to evacuate an injured researcher from Marion Island, is expected to arrive tomorrow when the 24-year-old will be airlifted onto the ship for medical treatment.
Nangaadzishumi Nefhere, a former student of the University of Venda, fell into the icy Southern Ocean a week ago while taking photographs.
He was a field assistant or "sealer" involved in marine mammal research through the University of Pretoria and the Department of Environmental Affairs.
