Czech national rail operator Ceske drahy (CD) has closed 13 tenders for the maintenance of its rolling stock which it declared in February, CD spokesman Petr Stahlavsky told ?TK Wednesday.

The winners of the tender, that comprises orders for three years, are seven companies. The total price of the orders is Kc4.7bn, which is Kc1bn higher than CD expected when it opened the tender.

"The best offers have won the tender," Stahlavsky said, adding CD made public only an estimate of the price when it declared the tender.
