CAMDEN Nearly $9 million will go toward a study that will determine what impact the new light rail line service into Gloucester County that is being planned for by the Delaware River Port Authority will have on the environment.
A resolution approved by the DRPA's commissioners on Wednesday accepts funds from the New Jersey Department of Transportation not to exceed $8,954,000 to conduct and conclude an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
Officials with the DRPA are calling the EIS "the next step" in the process to bring mass transit to Gloucester County.
