Graham Greene An unfinished novel by the prolific and versatile British writer, discovered last year in archives at the University of Texas, is being serialized in The Strand magazine. Part 1 is in the summer issue; four will follow.
"The Empty Chair" is a murder mystery that Greene began in 1926; the magazine hopes to commission someone to finish it. (The Times of London published the first chapter in December.) Other Greene works of note: "The Quiet American," "The Third Man" and "Our Man in Havana," as well as travel books, essays, children's stories, newspaper pieces, and on and on.
