An official of a recruitment agency opposed Sunday a proposal by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to require all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to undergo drug test, saying that “mandatory test could do more harm than good to OFWs.”“Applicants for overseas jobs undergo medical exams as part of the selection process by recruitment agencies and some of these exams for different job sites are already quite prohibitive on the part of the workers.
