Summary: SHARJAH u Hazardous medical wastes that were previously disposed off by hospitals will soon have a dedicated treatment facility at the Sajja landfill in Sharjah, according to an agreement signed this week.
Bee'ah, the Sharjah Environment Co., signed a partnership agreement with Green Planet to launch Wekaya, a medical waste company, on Monday.
James Hartnell, marketing director at Bee'ah, said Wekaya will specialise in management of medical wastes, training and certification of employees, and treatment and disposal of medical wastes.
