A CRY for help went out yesterday from villagers who claim they are still waiting for dream homes promised to them over two years ago. They demonstrated on an empty plot of land granted for a new housing development in Malkiya by His Majesty King Hamad.
The protest was spearheaded by the Malkiya Housing Committee and attended by Northern Municipal Council chairman Yousif Al Buri and MP Jawad Fairooz.
The urban development scheme features 1,200 housing units with beachfront views, according to plans announced by the government.
