Lee and Patricia (Terrill) Clendenning celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party given by their family on June 6, 2009, at the Clendenning home in Rome, Ga. Relatives came from New York, Virginia, Ohio and Georgia to help them celebrate.

The two were married on June 6, 1959, at the bride's home in Fabius. The couple met at DeRuyter Calvary Baptist Church in DeRuyter.

Patricia is a graduate of Fabius Central School and Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse. She is a retired secretary.

Lee graduated from DeRuyter High School, SUNY Oswego, Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in ...
