RAINS BADLY DAMAGE HUGE DATE CROP AREA IN PAKISTAN PROVINCE
SUKKUR - Monsoon rains yesterday damaged thousands of acres of date crops in Pakistan's Sukkur and Khairpur districts, causing millions of rupees losses to orchard owners and contractors.
Karimuddin, the owner of a date orchard, told PPI that usually the monsoon rains occurred in the region by the end of July but this year they hit about 10 days earlier.
