WASHINGTON--Mar. 23--Grant and Franklin counties were among the fastest growing in Washington state over the past seven years, according to new estimates released Tuesday by the Bureau of the Census.
Grant was the fourth fastest growing with its population up 27.2 percent, or almost 15,000 people to 69,700. Franklin was the eighth fastest growing county, up 25.5 percent, or 9,500 people to 47,000.
Although Benton County wasn't in the top 10, it was the 15th fastest growing county, up 20.6 percent, or 23,200 people to 135,780, the Census Bureau said. ...
