Micko has reaffirmed his enduring genius
FIRST up, an apology to Mick O'Dwyer. We never actually wrote this calumny but we did harbour private misgivings, circa last June, that the great man might have finally lost his managerial mojo.
"No crime in that," we ventured to ourselves, having first checked that no one was listening. "Micko has been working (managerial) miracles for 35 years and not even the original saviour, JC, stuck around that long."
As subsequent events confirmed, rumours of his waning powers have been greatly exaggerated. By orchestrating a hat-trick of victories over Ulster opposition, Micko has breathed hope where none ...
