IT has been a source of mystery for centuries, leading historians from the mountains of Catalonia to the secret vaults of Rosslyn Chapel in their search for its secret hiding place.
But now researchers believe they have finally identified the secret hiding place of the Holy Grail - in the Ayrshire town of Kilwinning.
It has emerged as an unlikely location for the Grail after historians discovered that North Ayrshire was home to a large concentration of Templars during the 14th century.
Historian AJ Morton claims Kilwinning was a stronghold for the shadowy medieval religious order, and believes the Grail is buried ...
