Three subsidiaries of UK banking group HSBC Holdings Plc (LSE: HSBA) (NYSE: HBC) (HKG: 0005) have been fined a total of GBP3m for failing to protect their customers' personal data.
HSBC Life Limited has received the biggest fine at GBP1.61m while HSBC Actuaries and Consultants Limited and HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited were fined GBP875,000 and GBP700,000 respectively.
