According to recent research from the United States, "Many neuropsychiatric diseases are associated with cognitive rigidity linked to prefrontal dysfunction. For example, schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease are associated with performance deficits on the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, which evaluates attentional set shifting."
