*Minneapolis paper sues Teamsters: With agreements with just a few unions to go, the Star Tribune of Minneapolis last week filed suit against Teamsters Local 638, trying to end its contract with its fleet drivers and stop contributing to their pension plan. The paper filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January, listing debt of $661.1 million and assets of $439.2 million. Since then, the paper has sought to achieve operational savings by cutting deals with its unionized workforce and is now down to just the fleet drivers a few others, with virtually all its unions agreeing to cuts and pension payment rollbacks.
