David Brown Group, the English industrial gears and pumps manufacturer and former producer of David Brown tractors, is considering expansion into the US, possibly through acquisition, to tap into a market described as fragmented but described as worth some $1.2 billion a year. Company advisers are scouting the US for possible takeover candidates or joint venture partners.
