The village and town of Manlius just learned they will receive a $311,939 state grant to consolidate existing shared sewer services by replacing the Westfield shared sewer line. The line in question is a shared trunk line and will eventually be transferred to Onondaga County.

The trunk line, which is across from Fayetteville-Manlius High School between Verbeck Estates and Academy Hill, must be replaced because it is faulty and continues to back up, said Manlius Town Supervisor Mark Tetley.
